Obituary of Ellen Patricia Currie

With sadness we announce the passing of Ellen Patricia Currie on January 16, 2024, in her 82nd year. Recently predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Wallace “Wally” Currie. Extraordinary mother to her daughters Donna (Shawn) and Danielle (Michael). Proud Nana
to her grandchildren Melissa (Chris), Michael, Brandon, Hannah, and Keira. Her memory lives on in her great grandchildren Harper, Ella, and Dallas. Ellen was predeceased by her parents Harry and Patricia Bowler, son Wayne, brothers and sisters John (Diane), Jim (Ruthanne), Thema, Marion, Dolly and by sister in law Josie (John) and brother in law Bernie. She will be greatly missed by her sister in laws Anne and Joanna and by many other extended family and friends.
Ellen worked for years at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital as an operation room technician and was a dedicated employee who even returned to work after recovering from a life threatening brain aneurysm. In retirement, she devoted even more time to her children and grandchildren whom she enjoyed spending as much time as possible with.

Arrangements to be entrusted to Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville.
As per Ellen’s wishes, a private family service will take place.
