Carol so sorry for your loss, it has been over 30 years since Linda an I left Smithville . I miss the contacts that I new from the business Bill being one of them. When he came into the store I would get updates about you an the family. Wishing you and your family the best to come in this trying time.
My sincere condolences to Bill’s family. He was a very kind man and a great friend to my father Les Zimmer. All through my dad’s journey with Alzheimer’s he was at my dad’s side even at the end. I could never thank him enough for his loyal friendship to my dad. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
My deepest condolences to you his family.
I've known Bill and his sidekick Keith for 25 years.
There were several occasions where he and Keith not only
inspected my hives but also Bill moved bees with Keith for me in last moment situations.
Sincerely
Walter Zimmermann (very much retired)

So saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He was a huge support to me during my years of importing queen honey bees for Ontario beekeepers and beyond. After sorting and organizing queens for distribution, it was not uncommon for Bill and I to grab a coffee at Timmy's at three or four in the morning. Then it was time to go home with Bill driving west and me heading east. Calm, reassuring, witty, sincere are only some of the adjectives I would use to describe Bill. I would like to have lived closer to him as I valued his friendship. He was a true gentleman!
Carole,
Shirly and I are so sad to hear of Bill's passing. Our deepest condolences to you and your family.

Carole, I am sure there are many who knew Bill through beekeeping that you may not be familiar with. I am likely one of those as I was only at the farm only once, although I met and spoke and laughed with Bill on numerous other occasions. I will remember Bill as a gentle, patient and knowledgeable man who was ready to listen and offer advice. My prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
