Obituary of Barbara Suzanne Drost

Barbara Suzanne Drost (nee. Easey), born October 7 th , 1950 in Toronto, Ontario; passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 23 rd , 2023. Barb spent 19 wonderful years with her husband, Brian Drost, whom she has been married to for the past 16 years. Beloved mother of Donald Ryan Easey. Previously decreased by her mother, Rowena and brother, Gordon Easey. She will be missed by her nephews, nieces and extended family. Barb loved to help others both in her personal and professional life. She spent her career teaching, with her last 15 years teaching art and drama at Dunville Secondary School. Since retirement, Barb spent her time on their poultry farm, but loved collecting rocks and travelling whenever possible. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville. A memorial will be held in Barb’s honour on October 14 th at their farm; 442 Sobye Road, Grimsby, Ontario on a drop-in basis from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Donations to the Grains of Hope or McNally House Hospice would be appreciated by the family and if desired can be made through the funeral home, (905)957-7031
