Obituary of Geoffery Thomas Copeland
COPELAND: GEOFFERY THOMAS “HOSS”: Passed away suddenly on Friday, September 30, 2022 at the young age of 47. Geoff leaves behind his only child Allie Copeland. Left to mourn is his Mother, Mary Ann Nelson (nee. Arnold), his “Sis” Sarah and beloved niece Claire Bear, Wayne (Avrielle), Brian (Paula), Charlette (Ray), and Sherry. He will be greatly missed by his uncle Dave (Sandra), aunt Brenda, aunt Joanie (Lorne) as well as childhood friends Shawn (Leanne) Miller, Scott (Kelly) Reece. Geoff has a special relationship with his “Cuz” Jenn (Larry). Predeceased by his grandparents Thomas and Irene Copeland, and his uncle Ted Copeland. His Father John Van Eck will miss him dearly as well as his siblings on his fathers’ side. Hoss lived a full life where over the years he had an impact on every person he met. Hoss has the biggest heart and would help anyone in need, from driving a Tow truck for HMB, to known for working on everyone’s cars in the community at Action Automotive, even midnight on derby car builds. Special thank you to Hendrick's Greenhouse where Geoff worked for supplying flowers. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street, Smithville.
