Obituary of Ben Sisler
Passed away peacefully at Edgewater Gardens, Dunnville on September 24, 2022, in his 82nd year. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years Verna Sisler (nee. Killins). He was a loving dad of Kevin (Victoria), Vickie, and Brent (Colleen). He will be missed by his grandchildren Jessica (Adam), Samantha (Tanner), Clayton (Amanda), Andrew (Laura), and Randi (Steve). Ben also leaves behind 6 great grandchildren. Ben is survived by his sister Betty. He will be missed by many other extended family and friends. Ben lived is entire life in Caistor Centre on the family dairy farm - first with his father, Charles, and later with his sons and grandsons. He was actively involved in many organizations including the Smithville Agricultural Society, Lincoln Lodge, Dunnville Men’s Bowling League and Merritt’s United Church. Thank you to the staff at Edgewater Gardens for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, from 3-7 p.m. at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Merritt’s United Church, 707 Church Street, Wellandport. Burial will take place following the service at the cemetery behind the church.
