Hearty condolences to Christine and all of Doug’s family. It came as a rather shocking news to us! I had a reminder on my phone to call Doug on Easter Monday and I so regret for not able to do that. He was a good friend, a mentor, and always had the most encouraging words- a true example of a Christian brother. We praise God for enabling us, as a family to visit Doug and Christine last summer. We spent a lovely evening together and he even took us boating in the river. Later last year, he hand made a wooden cross for our new Church in Toronto, what an honour to have a Godly man like Doug do that for us!

Doug is now in a better place, rejoicing with His saviour whom he he loved with all his heart. Christine, our thoughts and prayers go out to you. May the Lord grant you the peace that passeth all understanding.

I am saddened to hear about the passing of Doug. He was a good friend to my husband, Larry. They were instrumental in the building of Grimsby AirPark in Grassie. Some years later, he helped us build our home in Winona. Truly a wonderful man who leaves behind a lot of love.

My condolences to all the Hyserts and extended family. So many wonderful memories of Doug and Grassie church. Doug and Judy welcomed us so graciously into their home many years ago.
