BRENNAN, Violet:  Peacefully at Tufford Manor in St. Catharines on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, Violet Emily Brennan (nee Clayton) in her 96th year.  Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Howard Brennan (2021) for 73 years.  Loving mother of Lesley Hiscoe and of the late David Brennan.  Cherished grandmother of Laura Hiscoe and of Michael Hiscoe (Jessica) and great-grandmother to Josephine and Elizabeth. Dear sister of the late Will Clayton (Ilene), Edna Phillips (the late Reg), and the late Jean Eden (the late Bob), and sister-in-law of the late John Brennan (the late Betty), the late Harry Brennan (Lois), the late Fraser Brennan (Gloria), Royal Brennan (Julie), Sylvia Yochim (the late Joseph) and Carole Ah Yat (the late Herman). Also sadly missed by her nieces and nephews.  Vi built her own retail business in Ancaster, and was the authority in Depression Glass in Ontario, organizing the Ancaster Depression Glass Show and Sale for over 30 years.  Visitation will be held at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Saturday, February 12 from 2 - 5pm.  You may prebook a visitation time through the link provided in Violet’s obituary on the funeral home website merritt-fh.com, or call the funeral home at 905-957-7031 to prebook a time.
