Obituary of Maria de Fatima Pais

Suddenly at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, Maria de Fatima Pais of St. Anns passed away at the age of 79. Predeceased by her husband Antonio Pais (2018). Loving mother of Arnoldo (Oriana), and Fatima Nina (Manuel).  Cherished grandma of Ashley (Benjamin), Stephanie (Eric), Amanda, Alicia. Great grandmother to Damian, Matthias, Amelia, Logan, and 1 on the way. Maria will be missed by many other extended family and friends.  A visitation will take place at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday, October 8 from 6-8 p.m.  A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 166 West Street, Smithville on Saturday, October 9 at 9 a.m. with a private family graveside to follow in Scarborough.  If desired, memorial donations to St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home (905) 957-7031 or merritt-fh.com
