SOMMER, TRUDY:  Peacefully at McMaster University Medical Centre in Hamilton on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, a precious and loving soul passed from this world, in her 71st year.  Predeceased by her loving husband Dieter, Trudy is survived and will live on in her loving children Sonya, Roy (Donna), Gary (Joanne), Peter (Haylie), and her most cherished grandchildren Joseph, Jennifer, Jessica, Kimberly, Katherine, Victoria and Isabelle.  She is survived by her caring and loving sister Erika Milesic and husband Mike and their children Doris, David and Steve and through the loving family of her predeceased brother George Wilhelm.  Survived by her caring brother-in-law and his wife Siegfried and Almut Eisenmann and family, and by Waldemar and Paula Muller.  Also survived by her loving and ever devoted companions Sadie, Wookie, Mickey, Smokey and Sunny.  Trudy was always a devoted and loving mother being the solid rock of the family.  She had many hats as a tender mother, caring grandmother, devoted sister and a true friend.  She loved God, life and this earth and had an unmovable faith that allowed her to face any challenge put before her.  Her family takes comfort knowing that she can now watch over them in a higher place.  There are certain to be many lawns that need cutting in Heaven and have no doubt she will be up to the challenge!  Trudy’s family would like to thank the kind and thorough care given to her by the ICU Staff at McMaster, the Emergency and ICU Staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, nurses of St. Elizabeth Healthcare, CCAC, the medical staff at Juravinski Centre, Lakeview Lodge and St. Joseph’s Hospital, Dr. Young and Dr. Biscotti.  The family would also like to thank all those who gave Trudy their love and support as she traveled her recent and most difficult journey.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary, Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society, which can be made through the funeral home. Mom, you are now at peace and reunited with Dad.  Enjoy yourself up there until we see you again.
