SLOTMAN, MARGARETHA: At her home in Smithville on Saturday, March 27, 2010 Margaretha Slotman (nee Jansen) was called home by her Lord and Saviour, in her 85th year. Beloved wife of Fredrik Slotman for 57 years. Loving mother of Hennie Grootens (and the late Gerrit), Rhea and Bill Brunsveld, Betty and Albert Hovingh, and Bernice and Tim Robson. Cherished by her ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Dear sister of Johan and Bertha Jansen, and sister-in-law of Hermien Jansen of Holland. Predeceased by two brothers and one sister. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street Smithville on Monday, March 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Smithville Christian Reformed Church (6522 Smithville Road) on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 11 am. Private interment will precede the service. If desired, memorial contributions to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
