Visitation
Funeral Service
Condolences
Dear Geraldine and Brian and families,
We are so sorry for your loss.
And very sad we couldn’t be there to say this to you in person today.
I have lovely memories of Rozella, her family dinners and the effort she always made to bring our families together. I have happy memories of playing with my cousins and have kept a number of her recipes from the great meals she served.
I know mom really misses Rozella, I think the two of them travelled to church together pretty regularly there for awhile.
Mom and I are glad to have had the opportunity to visit with Rozella at Albright these last few months.
Please know our thoughts are with you all and we hope the special memories you have will bring you comfort during this time.
And specifically to my cousins,....grandmas are really special aren’t they. She was blessed to have five generations in her family, that’s really amazing. Rozella loved to talk about her grandchildren - you all had a very special place in her heart.
She touched us all with her beautiful smile and welcoming nature.
Take care of each other.
Carol Hodgkins and Lesley Hodgkins Seabrook.
My thoughts are with you all today as you hold the service for Rozella. I have many warm memories of family gatherings in Smithville over so many years and of visits with Rozella at Albright. I am sad that weather prevented me from coming from London today to be with you.
Marg
We remember Rozella for her kind interest and concern for everyone. Her particular pleasure and pride in all her grandchildren and great grandchildren was evident in her smile as she described her joy in their accomplishments and their visits.
She had a fruitful life for which you all must feel satisfaction.
You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time of her loss
Dear Geraldine, Brian and families,
I have so many fond memories of your mother. Living across Canbourough Street from you as I grew up, our families were good neighbours, always visiting back and forth and helping out when needed.
My mother, Margaret McEwan and Rozella were good friends at UCW, playing cards and spending time together in later years when they both lived at the Legion Villas. Lloyd’s mother, Erie Muir, enjoyed Rozella’s friendship as well, as both of them lived on the same floor at Villa II.
Four years ago on February 6, my brother, Robert McEwan, passed away and Rozella came to his funeral at Merritt’s. She was living at Albright Manor then and one of her granddaughters brought her. That meant so much to Ruth Ann and I. Your Mom was caring and kind and she will always hold a dear spot in our hearts.
Lloyd and I regret not being at the visitation or funeral but we will be thinking of you all at this difficult time.
Rozella was a great friend of my grandmother's and my mothers. They were co-workers at the library. Rozella was a wonderful lady and will be dearly missed.
I loved working with Rozella. She was a beautiful soul, always kind and thoughtful. Our condolences to her family.
