Condolences
It was sad news to hear of Lens passing. I first met Len in Feb. 63 on my posting to 2 SSM Bty. He was good man to know. We did have some contact in the past, and shared some memories and oddly I had been thinking of him a few days ago. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by his family. My sincere condolences to the family.

Dear Carole and family.
How saddened we are to hear of Lennie's death. It seems like yesterday that I sat in the Lobby of the Villa and had a wonderful conversation with Len while he awaited a ride for a transfusion! Little did I know how serious his illness was!
I will always remember Len for his fierce support of our Legion, his gentle spirit towards you and his children, his love for his grandkids.
And Lennie loved a good argument! Happily, I was allowed to debate him in many discussions, whether it was politics or whether servers at Legion breakfasts needed a hat!
We have lost a gentleman and a friend!
Our thoughts and prayers are with your whole family.

Carol and family: We were so sorry to hear about Len’s passing. I knew he had had some health issues as you no longer were heading to Florida. After 58 years of marriage I am sure you have a lot of great memories. Him and Russ are likely getting caught up. Please accept our deepest sympathy at such a sad time.
