Obituary of Yitty Leenstra

LEENSTRA, YITTY:  At McNally House Hospice on Monday, July 31, 2017, the Lord called home His child Yitty (Jitske) Leenstra (nee Heida) at the age of 83.  Beloved wife of Fred (Folkert) Leenstra for 62 years.  Loving mother of Margaret Cappon (Ken), Yvonne Gaffin (Rich), Patty Feddema (Sid), and Norm Leenstra (Lisa).  Predeceased by infant son Nanne.  Cherished Beppe of 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  Dear sister of the late Clarence Heida (Trix), Jim Heida (Christine), Tina DeGroot (the late Clarence), the late Jack Heida (Hennie), Richard Heida (Jean), Bonnie Buma (Peter), Ted Heida (Lucy), Susan Pearce (Bryan), Sally Cutting (Fred), Bob Heida (Jane), and Margaret Bruchmann (Henning).  Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, August 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  The funeral service will be held at Wellandport United Reformed Church, 74082 Wellandport Road, Wellandport on Friday, August 4 at 11 a.m.  Private interment at Union Cemetery, Smithville will precede the service.  If desired, memorial donations to McNally House Hospice or Heritage Christian School would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
