VAN KUREN, SUZANNE LEIGH (nee Benson): Peacefully the Lord has called Sue home after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, August 6th, 2015 in her 40th year. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Paul Van Kuren and by her daughters Taylor Anne Bardy and Jayme Leigh Bardy and her step-daughter Kaitlyn Elisabeth Van Kuren. Dearly missed by her mother Beverly Benson, and sister Jane Cervi, and brother-in-law Andrew Cervi. Sue will also be sadly missed by her nieces Alexandrea and Abigail McDonald; cousins Mark Meyer (Elisabeth), Mathew Meyer (Erin), Graeme, Evan and Elaine Klim; uncles Harry Meyer (Dona) and David, and aunt Rhonda Klim, as well as all of her wonderful friends. Sue will be remembered as a wonderful nurse throughout the region. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Sunday, August 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St Ann's Community Church, 5425 Twenty Mile Road (Regional Road 69), St. Anns on Monday, August 10th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to make a memorial donation may wish to consider a fund being set up for Suzanne's daughters Taylor and Jayme; for details or to make a donation, please contact the funeral home.
